The underlying logic actually holds up. If your PMS already holds lease data, payment history, and unit information, it’s the natural place to run AI workflows. A separate leasing chatbot pulling from an API is always one sync cycle behind. That’s not a knock on those tools — it’s just physics.
Beware: PMS AI Features Lag Point Solutions
Here’s what actually happens when a PMS vendor announces a native version of a tool you’re already paying for: they lowball how far behind they are.
Typically, native AI features in a PMS platform are typically 6 to 18 months behind the dedicated point solution’s capability at the time of the consolidation announcement — and vendors almost never say that out loud.
