Multifamily technology consultant, writer, and IT leader based in the Memphis area. Founder of ResiQ.
Background
I’m Josh Siddon — a multifamily technology consultant and writer based in the Memphis, TN area.
I started TechScribe as a platform for practical, operator-focused writing on managed Wi-Fi, AI in property operations, smart building infrastructure, and the networking decisions that actually matter to property teams. No vendor pitches, no fluff — just the operational reality of building and running technology that works for residents and staff.
Over the past 15+ years I’ve held IT leadership roles across property management, retail, and education — including positions at MAA, Fogelman Properties, Fred’s Inc., and Shelby County Schools. That breadth of experience shapes how I write: I’ve seen what breaks in production, what vendors oversell, and what operators actually need.
Outside of writing, I run ResiQ, a consulting practice focused on helping independent multifamily operators make smarter technology decisions — from managed Wi-Fi strategy and proptech selection to network infrastructure and vendor evaluations.
When I’m not writing or consulting, I’m involved in the broader tech community as an active member of the SIM Memphis Chapter, an Advisory Committee member for the USF Cybersecurity for Executives program, and a volunteer with FIRST Robotics in North Mississippi.
Thanks for reading. If something resonated or you want to talk tech, I’d love to hear from you.
